# Utilities

The $AQUA token serves multiple purposes within the Aqua Doge ecosystem:

1. **In-Game Currency**: Players earn $AQUA by completing levels and achieving high scores in the Aqua Doge game.
2. **Betting currency:** Players can bet on their favourite Aqua Doge pro-gamers and win prize pools if they are successful.&#x20;
3. **Pro-Gaming:** Players will also earn a small portion of the betting prize pool, based on their popularity, where popularity is defined as the number of other players who place bets on them.
4. **Trading:** Tokens can be traded on various cryptocurrency exchanges.
5. **Staking:** Holders can stake their tokens to earn additional rewards.
6. **Bridging:** Token holders can utilise bridging mechanics within the $AQUA ecosystem to transfer liquidity across networks, allowing them to fund activity across chains, without ever incurring a fee beyond gas fees, and without ever leaving the $AQUA eco-system.
